Netflix's Assassin's Creed Series: An Original Saga Set Millennia Before Assassin's Creed 2
Netflix's highly anticipated live-action Assassin's Creed series is poised to explore an entirely original narrative, establishing its timeline more than 1,400 years prior to the events depicted in Assassin's Creed 2. This significantly predates the franchise's memorable foray into historical Italy with Ezio Auditore da Firenze, which, while chronologically an early entry, will now be surpassed by the series' ancient setting.
The decision to set the show so far back in history promises a fresh and expansive perspective on the long-running conflict between the Assassins and the Templars, offering fans new characters, lore, and unexplored historical periods within the beloved gaming universe.
