Mahmoud Dahoud to Depart Eintracht Frankfurt This Summer
Mahmoud Dahoud is reportedly set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt when his contract expires this summer. The club will not be extending the 30-year-old midfielder's deal, making him available as a free agent, with several clubs already expressing interest in acquiring his services.
Dahoud joined Eintracht on a free transfer from Brighton in 2024. This season, he has made 17 appearances across all competitions for die Adler. However, his playing time has significantly reduced under coach Albert Riera, having featured in only three of a possible seven matches, with just one start.
The Syrian international was notably absent from the squad for their recent Matchday 27 fixture against Mainz. He was also an unused substitute in previous games against Freiburg, St. Pauli, and Heidenheim, signaling a diminished role within the team.
Eintracht Frankfurt is anticipating a period of significant change this summer. Their recent defeat against Mainz leaves the Hessen-based club eight points behind sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen with only seven games left in the season. Adding to the potential shake-up, Hugo Larsson has also indicated his desire to move on from Frankfurt at the end of the season.
